Highlights Pages
These highlights pages are included as a compliment to the seasonal summaries to give you an idea of the many scarce and rare birds that turn up in Norfolk each year. They also detail sightings of some of the regularly occuring birds of note and the rare breeding species present in the county. I've split them up into monthly accounts starting from July 2007, and have included a photo gallery of some of species recorded. They will continue to be updated as time progresses.
They are not an exhaustive list of all the species that have occurred as I have mainly stuck to the birds that were around long enough to be widely appreciated, rather than detail fly-overs, short stayers or unconfirmed reports, in order to give you a realistic guide to the birds that do occur, and which you have a chance of seeing when you hopefully choose to visit the county on one of our tours.
I have also included a diary of my sightings, along with a photo gallery, from my virtually daily walks around my own local patch, and of my occasional out of county birding trips.
